How Blogging Attracts Potential Clients

Okay, so you’ve heard all the recent hype about social media and blogging. Someone you know and trust is an avid blogger and has challenged you to use blogging to promote/grow your business.

And so here you are, skeptically navigating through the maze of blogsites, lurking around various conversations, and wondering:

What is the Value/Benefit of blogging?

A large majority of people in business are still relatively clueless as to the value proposition offered by implementing an effective Internet Social Media strategy as part of their overall marketing plan. The viable ‘bottom-line’ benefits of Blogging in particular remain shrouded in mystery to the masses who have never posted. And so you ask yourself:

Why Should I begin Blogging?

Time is Money, they say, and perhaps you’re just one of those types that needs to see a demonstrable return on your investment. Using Social Media/Networking and blogging to grow your business are simply more weapons that can be added to your marketing arsenal. It should not replace, but augment those methods that traditionally have been successful for you thus far. Sticking Your Head Out Above the Crowd

In 2007 I came across a real estate broker out of Dacula, GA by the name of Matt Fagioli. Matt, along with other pioneers that I met online or in person were talking about things like web 2.0, business blogging, social networking and SEO. These topics were all new to me as I was used to the real estate market of old, back in the mid 1980’s when I first started as a young real estate whippersnapper.

Matt along with other pioneers such as Lane Bailey, Susie Blackmon, Mary McKnight and Midori Miller were talking and writing about internet marketing on websites like ActiveRain which were all new to me. I listened intently to them talk and write (Blog) about these and other topics. It was all good information, but the thing that shocked me the most was that all of these folks were willing to share their thoughts, ideas and experience with anyone who would listen.
